This morning our class delivered 9 different events to 1/2M and 1/2MC in a “Mini Olympics”. We spent a week planning and organising the rotations, along with writing procedures and certificates. The class taught events from the olympics along with events they’d like to have seen in Rio. The events were Relay, wheelbarrow race, distance throw, frisbee, sprints, hurdles, soccer, high jump, egg and spoon race.

What was the best part of the morning for you?

Today we dressed up in our favourite sporting colours (netball, soccer, basketball, football, etc.). There was a gold coin donation for being out of uniform. All money raised went to the Cancer Foundation. The J.S.C also ran some football activities on the oval at second lunch, the longest kick and a handball competition.

Well done to the class members who were awarded some subway cookies for reading the required amounts at home. As a class we agreed to read 4-5 nights a week and bring our diaries in, signed, on Friday morning.
Thank you to Stewart and Jess from Kangaroo Flat Subway for doing a great deal for the kids, supplying the delicious treats.
What did everyone think of our latest treats?

Division Cross Country

Today we travelled to the Bendigo Race Track for the Division Cross Country. We all had a great time competing with 1000’s of other students in the region. The 8, 9 and 10 year old groups raced over 2km, where the 11 and 12 year olds went 3km. There were some fantastic results over the day, but none better from our grade than the 11 year old boys in the green group taking out the team award, well done boys.
