Our Class has been learning netball for the past term it was fun but we had a couple of delays because of the weather. It rained for 4 of our lesson’s. When we had a lesson of netball we were being taught by Janelle. To thank her for that here are some of the students thoughts.

Rebecca: I think the sport is really good and that I might take netball as a weekend sport.

Ella: That it was fun and everyone had an even share of the ball.

Shelby: I think that everyone should have a shot of netball because it’s fun and easy.

Shanae: Because you get to train and because you get to play mini games and learn new skills.

Reese: I thought it was fun because of the channels and you get to learn how to lead.

Skye: I liked netball because it is fun to play and you get to play a game.

Every one loved playing netball with Janelle because she was nice and kind to everyone. So thanks Janelle everyone loved the skills that you taught.

Lollies in Maths?

1

Posted by Mr O'Toole | Posted in Maths | Posted on June 15, 2016

Todays maths was really fun. We had to get a piece of A3 paper and make it into 3 columns. We wrote the names of three kinds of lollies and then we got those lollies. We made the fraction of how many lollies we got and at the end we got to eat them.

Each week the 100 word challenge blog will give us a prompt. It will be our challenge to post an interesting piece of writing on our blogs and then attach a link to the 100WC blog. We will have the ability to read and comment on other students’ writing pieces, as they will read and comment on ours. Each couple of weeks the 100WC blog will select several interesting pieces to “Showcase” on their blog.

Today was the first time we wrote for this challenge so come visit the classes blogs and see what they wrote.

Local Waterways Project

Posted by Mr O'Toole | Posted in Integrated Studies | Posted on May 27, 2016

Over the last two days the class have presented their oral presentations to each other. Everyone that presented did so extremely well, I’m so proud of all of you.

This was their task for the last two weeks:

Compare and contrast two living parts of our local waterways (Animal, insect or plant species). In what way do the two rely on each other in regards to the food chain?

Imagine if one of the two species were removed from the ecosystem, what effect would that have on the environment? What can we do to ensure that doesn’t happen

What was your favourite part of the project?

Which groups presentation did you enjoy?

Division Cross Country

Posted by Mr O'Toole | Posted in Excursions, Physical Education, Uncategorized | Posted on May 13, 2016

Today we travelled to the Bendigo Race Track for the Division Cross Country. We all had a great time competing with 1000’s of other students in the region. The 8, 9 and 10 year old groups raced over 2km, where the 11 and 12 year olds went 3km. There were some fantastic results over the day, but none better from our grade than the 11 year old boys in the green group taking out the team award, well done boys.
